Karen's Instructor
Karen Brown, MHP, CHP, DABR, FAAPM

Ms. Brown is a Diagnostic Imaging Physicist for Penn State College of Medicine. She is certified in Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and in Health Physics by the American Board of Health Physics (ABHP).

Her passion is education. She provides imaging physics education for residents, fellows, and technologists at multiple institutions and is committed to improving educational methods and outcomes.

Ms. Brown is an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine currently serving as a member of Education Council, Medical Education of Physicians Committee, and the Diagnostic Radiology Resident Physics Curriculum Working Group.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with family, kayaking and hiking. She and her husband Alan have three children.
